Meet Kim Wydeck

Besides working at the SLCFAC, Kim is a wife and best friend to her husband Rodney and a busy mom to three kids; Jaiden (16), Rodney Jr (7) and Adelina (2).  She was born and raised in Detroit and moved to Grand Haven when she was 12.  In 2003, some life experiences took her to Fort Hood, Texas for 6 years where she received her associates degree in Early Childhood Development.  From there she moved to Alaska for 2 years and then back home to Michigan.

Why does Kim enjoy working at the SLCFAC?  "The people!  I am inspired when I see people strive towards a goal."  Kim provides encouragment to others to never give up.

When she is not at the SLCFAC, Kim enjoys running, gardening, kayaking, camping, church (Harvest Bible) and thrift store shopping.

Did you know that Kim has run 3 half marathons?  That's right, and one of them was done with NO training!  For the Bayshore Marathon where she won a free entry, she literally did a couch to half marathon!

Kim's fitness goals are to be healthy, strong and look good doing it!  Her children inspire her and provide her the motivation to workout and be a good example to them.

Kim references Isaiah 40:29-31 to keep things in perspective.  "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will work and not be faint."

The biggest challenge for Kim is chocolate!  "It is so delicious!"
