Group Exercise


Below you will find a complete list of the classes we offer at the Spring Lake Community Fitness and Aquatic Center; as well as some of the trainers that teach each class. Members must purchase Group Exercise Packages to attend classes. Youth members must be 13 years of age or older and purchase a group exercise class package to participate in adult group exercise classes.

Class Offerings:


Barre fitness is an amazing workout that combines isometric strength training and high reps of small range of movement exercises all while engaging your core.  You will work at the barre, center floor, the mat, and utilize small free weights, bands and mini exercise balls. This class is set to upbeat music, will increase your strength and flexibility and does not require a dance background.  (Long workout pants, no socks or sticky socks work best for class)

Boot Camp

A popular interval class that mixes calisthenics and body weight exercises with cardio and strength training.

Cardio Dance

High energy, fat burning, blast of fun using different styles of dance moves to a mix of old and new dance hits. Come and get your groove on with us!

Chair Yoga

For anyone who has ever hesitated to try yoga because of the challenge of getting down onto the floor or doing standing poses. Now a chair becomes your mat. Just about any pose that can be done standing, sitting, or lying on a mat can be adapted to sitting on a chair. Everyone, beginner to advanced, is accommodated, as each pose will be presented in multiple levels of flexibility. The class will include breathing, meditation, stretching, strengthening and a lot of fun – all while sitting on a chair!


This class will be 40 minutes of cycling, followed by 15-20mins of core exercises and stretching.

Deep Water

This deep water aerobic class is designed to improve your cardiovascular system while building strength and flexibility, but avoiding wear and tear on your joints. No previous swimming instruction required.

Deep Water Workout

Deep Water Workout is a high-energy aqua class with low impact moves. Deep Water Fitness uses the pool to get a great workout without having to swim laps. Tread water, do drills, and use water weights to work your body and gain more muscular endurance and strength. This class is challenging, but accommodating for all fitness levels!

Gentle Yoga

This class is geared toward those who want to learn the fundamentals of Yoga. Alignment principles, gentle breathing techniques, and basic poses will be taught at a slow pace for all levels.

Going Deep

Going Deep is a high-energy aqua class with low impact moves. Going Deep uses the pool to get a great workout without having to swim laps. Tread water, do drills, swim strokes, etc. In this water class unlike others you will get your hair wet when doing some of the exercises. This class is challenging, but accommodating for all fitness levels!

Indoor Cycle

Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned athlete, this stationary cycling class can accommodate you! You will be guided by a “coach” who will provide a training profile, music and motivation. All you need to be able to do is…pedal a bike! All riders are in control of their own intensity; so all fitness levels CAN ride together to build cardiovascular strength and endurance, and/or become a better cyclist.

Kid Fun Fitness

This class is designed to get your child moving! Activities include fitness games, movement to music, obstacle courses, and much, much more. Sign up is required.

Moves and Grooves

Let our instructor guided you through simple sequences that lead up to one impressive dance routine that will get you moving and into incredible shape.


Using a floor mat and small props, this class focuses on basic Pilates principles: core strength, increased flexibility, breath control and correct alignment to improve posture. Strong core muscles support the spine, reduce back pain, add an amazing new depth to yoga practice, and are an integral component of athletic performance as well as every day balance. No Pilates experience is necessary, and this class is appropriate for students of all ability levels.

Shallow Water

A great exercise program using water resistance to develop muscle tone, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness and general well-being. The warm water eliminates any pounding pressure on joints while providing a stimulating workout. Routines are done to popular music and exercises concentrate on both lower and upper body. It is not necessary to know how to swim for this shallow water class.

Shallow Water Workout

When you take our Shallow Water Workout class, you get all the benefits of a group fitness class without the impact on your joints. We'll help you develop muscle tone, endurance and flexibility. Resistance equipment may be used. A great class for people with beginner, intermediate and advanced fitness levels.


Simple, heart-pumping step aerobics routines combine with strength training intervals to give you a complete cardio and weights workout. This is an excellent cross-training class for all skill and fitness levels. You may be surprised to actually enjoy sculpting your body and following step combinations.

T.B.C. (Total Body Conditioning)

Energetic workout including strength, cardio and core in one workout.

TRX Strength

Total-Body class using only TRX, medicine balls and body weight. Increase your naturally happy drug (endorphins) while decreasing your waistline. 

TRX Strength and Balance

A gentler version of our TRX class focused on building strength and improving balance. A great introduction to TRX training!

Water Dance Party

The fusion of aquatic fitness with dance-based moves will give you a movement base free from the boundaries of geography and gravity.


This class is geared toward those who want to be challenged more than in beginner yoga. Alignment principles, gentle breathing techniques, and basic poses will be taught at a medium pace.


Zumba® Fitness is a feel-happy workout that combines a motivating fusion of Latin and international music with unique moves and dynamic combinations that allow participants to dance away their worries.  It is based on the principle that a workout should be "Fun and Easy to Do" allowing Zumba® Fitness participants to stick to the program and achieve long-term health benefits in both body and mind.

Group Exercise Class Packages

Taking part in our Group Exercise classes will help you stay focused on your fitness goals. Whether you are looking for an easy workout or an intense body assault, we have a great group of classes available throughout the week. If you would like to purchase one of the packages below, please stop by our Front Desk.

NOTE: All class packages will renew automatically unless the member notifies the SLCFAC prior to renewal. Class packages are per individual. Members may not share packages.

Unlimited Class Package

This package allows members to attend as many classes as they desire during the span of time they purchased.


$30 Class Package

This package is good for 10 classes and is valid for up to a year after purchase. Use is tracked when the member signs in at class.

Youth Classes

Kids Fun Fitness is offered to children 6-13 who are current members of the SLCFAC for FREE.
